The Cameroonian-based online promotion company, Hansel Media has launched the “Online Media Participation for Change” Award for young Cameroonian students who, through their online activities are impacting change in their communities. The applications for the 2015 “Online Media Participation for Change” Award (OMPC Award) are open for students in the department of Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Buea. Female applicants are highly encouraged. These online activities include blogging, participation in online forums, or any other online participation, as long as they are aimed towards instigating a change in the community.

The OMPC Award seeks to recognize and nurture young Cameroonians who, through their online activities continually impact change in their respective societies. Through this venture, the winner will have the possibility of getting online material needed for his/her online media activities and will be assisted with online promotion for his/her community-oriented projects on our online platforms.
