As we all know, with age our skin changes and no it's not only evident on our faces but also on the rest of our bodies especially our hands!
Here are a few tips to keep those hands looking gorgeous as you flaunt that new manicure, engagement, or wedding ring!
Here's what Faith suggests;
1, Nivea Creme - This is the iconic crème that suits all skin types. I like to use this after I apply avocado oil to my hands because it seals the moisture in. It has a thick consistency compared to other Nivea products. This product helps your skin stay soft and supple.
2. Nivea Smooth Sensation Body Lotion - I like to use this when I need a light hit of moisture to my hands. I mainly like to use it around my cuticles and around my nail bed because that area tends to need a lot more attention. It's great for dry skin and it instantly hydrates the skin.
3. Cuticle Oil - I remember when this particular brand used to be used in nail salons and some I believe still use this particular brand. This cuticle oil softens and moisturize the cuticles.
4. Sweet Almond Oil - most of us know the benefits of eating almonds but as far as the skin Almond oil contains some CRAZY fatty acids which is a natural emollient for the skin and helps lock in the moisture by forming a barrier of protection. Emollients are great for conditions such as acne, ecnema, psoriasis, or rosacea. Also another benefit of almond oil is that it has the ability to plump and firm the skin. It works as a natural face exfoliator that helps to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of healthier skin. So using almond oil will help repair damaged cells and give skin a more youthful appearance.
5.Avocado Oil - I am a EXTREME fan of avocados! AVOCADOS everything when it comes to me. It's great to eat and its great for the skin. Avocados contains vital nutrients such as vitamin A B C E and K and minerals such as copper, potassium, iron, magnesium and phosphorus. It contains essential proteins, fibers and phytochemicals such as gluathione, lutein, and beta-sitosterol. OK OK I'm using big words let's get to the point. How is this beneficial to the skin? It hydrates and reduces marks, fine lines and wrinkles leaving you with skin of radiance. It cures eczema, brights disease and Psoriasis because it gradually removes the scales on the skin. It control itchiness, It is a skin protector. Best natural SUNSCREEN that protects skin from UVA and UVB harmful rays of the sun. It'a also a remedy fro sun burns. It contains antioxidants that are healthy for the skin which helps in protecting the skin from damage. It improves complexion and density. It removes dead skin cells from the skin. It penetrates in the skin restoring the nutrients,. It contains glutamine amino acid which cleanses the skin offering it protection against harsh environmental factors. It controls and prevents acne breakouts in the skin. It supplies fats to the skin which keeps the skin looking healthy. It helps to maintain water in the skin which keeps the skin radiant and well moisturized and nourished.
6. Vitamin E Oil - Pure Vitamin E oil is used for many things and serve so many purposes. For one vitamin E oil promotes healing and is an active ingredient in a lot of hair, skin and nail products. It's a strong antioxidant that prevents premature aging which is why you see this ingredient in a lot of anti-aging products. It's great for wrinkles, fine lines, scarring, brown spots, cuticles and it's great for a night treatment.
These things are important to me not only for the skin on my face but the skin on my hands. You noticed the products I listed are great for hydration, maintaining the youth of your skin, locking in moisture and it can definitely turn back the hands of time through consistency. But always remember...
ALWAYS protect your hands by using sunscreen. I would suggest SPF 30 or 50. The higher the better so you won't have to reapply.. You will be fully protected and really it all depends on how long you plan to be exposed to the elements.
Well, there goes...
