CNN reporter Kate Bolduan breaks down as she reports the recent story about a 5-year-old Syrian boy who was rescued in Allepo and who is now being referred to as "the face of the Syrian civil war" went viral on Thursday. The little boy was in an ambulance after being injured in airstrikes on rebel-held districts in the war-torn country.
The CNN anchor Kate remarked that in many places in the world a 5-year-old would be getting ready to start school for the first time while this young helpless Syrian boy is struggling to stay alive. "They're dying, they're survivingand many more, some where in between," Bolduan said shaking her head and holding her tears. "According to activist the boy's name is Omran" she said as her voice wavered and she cleared her throat looking down. "What strikes me the most is that we shed tears, but there are no tears here. He doesn't cry once. That little boy is in total shock. He's stunned", she said through tears. He's inside his home for one moment and the next he's lost in the mist of war and chaos."
