Rio 2016: Brazilian Rugby Player Accepts Surprise On-field Marriage Proposal After 7s Final

Brazilian rugby player Isadora Cerullo has been surprised with an on-field wedding proposal following Australia's win in the first women's rugby sevens event in Olympic history at Rios Deodora stadium.

Cerullo's  partner of two years, 28 years old Marjorie Enya, walked onto the pitch as the crowd are dispersing following the final and she immediately popped out the question. Enya who is a manager at the venue, grabbed a microphone and delivered a very emotional speech before embracing her partner to the cheers of  spectators.

Cerullo who is a dual US and Brazilian citizen was reportedly studying medicine in the United States before she was selected for Brazil's Olympic squad. As soon as I knew she was in the squad I thought I have to make this special Enya told a BBC reporter. Same sez marriages has been legal since 2013.
