Empowering The Girl Child: The Missy BK Foundation Donates School Materials To 50 School Girls In Cameroon For The New School Year

Hi there lovely #glowers!

Remember the Missy BK foundation?

Well in case you have missed out on our numerous posts about this foundation- founded and owned by one of Cameroon's most recognized international artist based in Canada and known for her charitable works- The Missy BK foundation sponsors some kids currently in secondary school, and constantly donates to orphanages especially during festive periods, and to schools especially during the beginning and end off the school year.

This Time, the Missy Bk Foundation unfolds the new school year by donating School materials to 50 girls in support of the Girl child . As the saying goes..." A girl child who is even a little bit educated is more conscious of family planning, healthcare and in turn her children's own education" .Missy Bk the Founder of this organisation isn't only passionate about Music and life but is passionate in seeing others succeed.

As a child growing up in a poor neighborhood, she experienced firsthand the severe effects of poverty and illiteracy especially upon women and children and her parents taught her the importance of education with which she is now using her knowledge to find possible solutions that could bring a change in the lives of the underprivileged in her community back home in Cameroon.

As the New school year unfolds, The Missy Bk foundation teamed up with New breed Foundation delegated By Ms Zita Last August 28th 2016 and donated School Materials such as Books , pens . pencils and rulers to over 50 girls and 24 out of this girls happen to have lost both parents and the others are underprivileged living in the near by villages in the North west Region of Cameroon

" Equal education for the Girl child", was chosen as the main theme for the back to school project this year 2016 because The Missy Bk foundation is focused on encouraging the girl child to stay in school . Since we cannot help everyone with full scholarships including full tuition, this tool for school project helps to reduce financial cost for most of this families.

Cameroon, Affrica, and the world, needs more people like Missy BK. We are honored each time we have to share, and the reason for sharing is not to show how good she is, of course a good gesture like this is always appreciated, but it's to encourage others that it's okay to give back!
